It seems as if we celebrated Madelyn's birthday for several days! Her actual birthday was when we were in Destin. After we returned home, we had a "friend" party on Saturday and a "family" party on Sunday. Not to mention that tomorrow in her preschool class we will have yet ANOTHER party (really just a 15 minute "special" treat time as they like to say....).
She had so much fun at the friend party. It was at a local toy/book store and was a "Princess and Knight" theme. I had fun too because all I had to do was show up! They did the rest!! All of her little friends came and they were all so cute. The girls got to put princess costumes on and decorate wands. The boys dressed as knights and decorated goblets. They danced, ate cake, and played games. Madelyn is still talking about how much fun she had!!
The family party was at our house on Sunday. We had cake and ice cream and then opened presents. All of her cousins were there except for Sophie and Emma who live all the way in New Jersey (I've tried to explain to her over and over again how NJ is not just down the street....it's an 11 hour car ride!!).
Have you noticed every picture of Madelyn she is holding up the "five"....she was proud!
I'm so disappointed because among all of the chaos, I forgot to get a picture of all the cousins together :-( . After all the excitement, I think Madelyn literally past out from pure exhaustion. Wow, it's so hard to believe how time flies. I'm trying my best to savor these precious years of these little guys being sweet and little!! ha ha ha ha....

LOVE THE CAKE!!!!where's it from? I think it was a good decision too! I was the oldest in my class and loved it!
Whitney, the lady who made the cake is Deanna Moore. Let me know if you ever want her contact information. She is so good!! And the cake tastes very yummy too. You just give her a napkin, plate, etc of what you want and she works her magic. She has done everyone of Madelyn's cakes....this one was my favorite. It was so pretty!
